What is BNI?
BNI is the world’s largest business referral organisation, bringing together like minded professionals to share ideas and contacts, and most importantly to refer business to one another.
Established in the USA in 1985, by Dr Ivan R. Misner, BNI consists of a network of ‘chapters’ (business referral groups) located right across the globe, meeting on a weekly basis to support and grow each other’s businesses.
BNI is not a get-rich-quick scheme but is based on the philosophy of ‘Givers Gain’, so that if I give you business you will want to give me business.
BNI is more about farming than it is about hunting and members focus on cultivating rewarding relationships within their BNI Chapters for the mutual benefit of all.
Crucial to the success of any BNI Chapter is the commitment of members, whose sole aim is to refer business to each other. In order to do this, members participate fully, attending meetings each week and bringing referrals and visitors to their chapters regularly.
By following BNI’s tried and tested system, which is proven to generate results, members build a powerful business networking forum for the benefit of all.
